Vince Young played college football at the University of Texas from 2002 – 2005 and led the Longhorns to a 11-0 regular season record and the 2005 BCS National Championship after defeating the University of Southern California in the 2006 Rose Bowl, which to this day is considered one of the greatest college football games ever. USC featured two Heisman Trophy winners – Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart - was the defending national champion and was on a 34-game winning streak coming into the game. The Longhorns retired Young’s #10 jersey on August 30 2008.
In the 2006 NFL Draft, Young was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the first round with the third overall pick and went on to play five seasons for the Titans from 2006 – 2010. He was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2006 and was twice named to the Pro Bowl 2006 & 2009. Young grew up in Houston, Texas and attended Madison High School . He received a host of honor during his high school career, including Parade’s National Player of the Year, 2001 Texas 5A Offensive Player of the Year and The Sports News’ top high school prospect.
