Bob Lilly, affectionately known as “Mr. Cowboy”, played defensive tackle in the NFL and spent the entirety of his 14-year career from 1961-1974 with the Dallas Cowboys. Considered one of the best defensive tackles in the history of the NFL, Lilly became a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1980 and continued to be recognized for his greatness even after his playing days ended as evidenced by his inclusion within the NFL 1960s All-Decade Team, NFL 1970s All-Decade Team, NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team and NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. He is also a member of the Cowboys Ring of Honor and was ranked 10th in 1999 by The Sporting News on its list of the 100 Greatest Football Players of all-time.

An 11-time Pro Bowl selection in 1962 and from 1964-1973, Lilly similarly earned seven first-team All-Pro accolades from 1964-1969 and also in 1971. In 1970 and 1972, he was named second-team All-Pro in helping Dallas to a 24-3 victory in Super Bowl VI over the Miami Dolphins. Lilly was born on July 26, 1939 in Olney, Texas and played collegiately for Texas Christian University (TCU, where he was a two-time All-Southwest Conference selection in 1959 and 1960 while also earning consensus All-American honors in the latter year
He was picked by the Cowboys in the 1961 draft in the first round. After his playing days, Lilly became a small business owner, which included opening a photo art gallery in New Mexico.
