Carson Palmer played quarterback in the NFL for 15 years from 2003-2017 with the Cincinnati Bengals (2003-2010), Oakland Raiders (2011-2012) and Arizona Cardinals (2013-2017). Palmer was three times named to the Pro Bowl in 2005, 2006 and 2015 and was also named second-team All-Pro in 2015. Prior to the NFL, Palmer won the Heisman Trophy in 2002 while playing collegiately at USC.
After being picked by Cincinnati with the 2nd overall pick in the 2003 draft, he had a breakout sophomore campaign with the Bengals in 2005 when set a career-high in completion percentage (67.8) while also throwing for 3,836 yards and 32 scores. Palmer in 2006 and 2007 produced back-to-back seasons of 4,000-plus passing yards. Palmer moved west to Arizona in 2013, and two years later in 2015, he set career-highs in passing yards (4,671), touchdowns (35), passer rating (104.6) and yards per passing attempt (8.7) in route to leading the Cardinals to a spot in the NFL Championship Game. He became a member of the Cardinals Ring of Honor in 2019.
During his time in college at USC from 1998-2002, Palmer enjoyed a standout career, which culminated in 2002 with him winning a plethora of accolades, including the Sporting News Player of the Year, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and Heisman Trophy. He was also named a consensus All-American and the Pac-10 Co-Offensive Player of the Year. Palmer finished his career at USC ranked second-all-time in school history for most yards passing with 11,818 and had his jersey #3 retired. Palmer was born on December 27, 1979 in Fresno, California.
