Haley was drafted by the 49ers out of James Madison in the 4th round of the 1986 NFL draft. During his time in college, Haley was twice named a Division I-AA All-American and set a school record with 506 tackles. He was born in Gladys, Virginia (he’s a member of the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame) on January 6, 1964 and went to school at William Campbell High School, where he played both basketball and football. Off the field, Haley has lent his support to a number of organizations, including The Salvation Army and Jubilee Center.
