Donovan McNabb spent 13 years playing quarterback in the NFL for the Philadelphia Eagles (1999-2009), Washington Redskins (2010) and Minnesota Vikings (2011). McNabb is best remembered for the time he spent with the Eagles, where he was a six-time Pro Bowl selection and led the team to five NFC East titles, eight appearances in the playoffs and a spot in Super Bowl XXXIX against the eventual champion New England Patriots.

At the time of his retirement, McNabb held numerous team career records, including most passing yards, passing touchdowns, completions and attempts. McNabb became just the fourth player in NFL history (joining John Elway, Fran Tarkenton and Steve Young) to pass for more than 30,000 yards, throw 200 touchdowns, rush for 3,000 yards and run for 20 touchdowns. McNabb’s jersey #5 was retired by the Eagles and he became a member of the Eagles Hall of Fame in 2013. He was also named to Philadelphia’s 75th Anniversary Team.

McNabb grew up in Chicago and attended Mount Carmel High School, where he won a state title in 1991. He played college football at Syracuse, where in 1995 he was named Rookie of the Year in the Big East Conference and for the next three seasons was named conference Offensive Player of the Year. Syracuse retired McNabb’s jersey and he was named to the school’s All-Century Team. Upon retiring, McNabb went into broadcasting and worked for Fox Sports, the NFL Network and ESPN Radio.
