Fisher DeBerry Booking Agent Details
Fisher DeBerry served as head coach of the Air Force Academy football team from 1984-2006. Before becoming head coach, he served as Air Force’s quarterbacks coach (1980) and offensive coordinator (1981-1983). Under his leadership, the Falcons made 12 bowls and captured three Western Athletic Conference (WAC) titles in 1985, 1995 and 1998. Air Force finished 12-1 in 1985, won the Bluebonnet Bowl and was ranked as the No. 8 team in the nation. For his efforts, DeBerry was honored as the recipient of both the Bobby Dodd and Walter Camp Coach of the Year awards. In addition, he was awarded the AFCA Coach of the Year.
In total, DeBerry won three WAC Coach of the Year awards and is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, class of 2011. He is also a member of the South Carolina Sports Hall of Fame, Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame and Independence Bowl Hall of Fame. DeBerry retired in 2006 with the most victories and best winning percentage (.608) of any head football coach in the history of the Air Force Academy.
DeBerry played college football for Wofford from 1956-1960 and later began his collegiate coaching career there, serving as an assistant from 1969-1970. From 1971-1979, he worked as an assistant coach at Appalachian State before joining the staff at Air Force. DeBerry retired following the 2006 season and has been active in charitable and philanthropic endeavors, supporting organizations such as the Salvation Army, American Heart Association, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and his own foundation.
