Jake Peavy is a former pitcher who played Major League Baseball for the San Diego Padres (2002-09), Chicago White Sox (2009-13), Boston Red Sox (2013-14) and San Francisco Giants (2014-15). Peavy’s best year performance-wise came in 2007 when he won the pitching triple crown by leading the National League with 19 wins, a 2.54 ERA and 240 strikeouts. He was named the starting pitcher in the All-Star Game and was the unanimous choice for the NL Cy Young Award, just the 10th NL pitcher in history to receive a unanimous vote.
Peavy was drafted by the Padres in the 15th round of the 1999 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut on June 22, 2002.
