Jesse Palmer has worked for ESPN since 2007 as a college football analyst both in the broadcast booth and studio. Prior to his broadcasting career, Palmer played quarterback in the NFL from 2001-2005 for the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers

Palmer was born on October 5, 1978 in Toronto, Canada and played college football at the University of Florida from 1997-2000 for coach Steve Spurrier. He was named a captain his senior season and was honored for his character and leadership with the Fergie Ferguson Award. He graduated with two degrees as was three times named to the SEC academic honor roll. Palmer was selected in the 2001 NFL Draft by the Giants in the 4th round.

Palmer shot to pop culture fame in 2004 when he became the first pro athlete to star on the tv program “The Bachelor”. Over the next couple of years, Palmer worked for Fox Sports Net on its coverage of the Arena Football League, for Fox on its NFL coverage and for the NFL Network before joining ESPN in 2007. Additionally, Palmer has worked for CTV, eTalk, The Sports Network, Food Network and Good Morning America. In 2018, Palmer served as host of ABC’s “The Proposal”.
