One of the best NFL offensive tackles of his era, Joe Staley spent his entire 13-year career in the NFL from 2007-2019 with the San Francisco 49ers. A 1st round pick out of Central Michigan by San Francisco in the 2007 NFL Draft, Staley was named to the All-Rookie Team by the Pro Football Writers Association. In five straight seasons from 2011-2015, he was named to the Pro Bowl, earning his sixth selection in 2017. From 2011-2013, Staley received second-team All-Pro honors in three consecutive seasons.

During the 2012 campaign, he was the starting left tackle for San Francisco in Super Bowl XLVII against the Baltimore Ravens. In 2019, Staley’s final campaign before retiring, the 49ers went 13-3 and captured an NFC West Division title in route to a spot in Super Bowl LIV, where they fell to Kansas City, 31-20, in Staley’s final game. Over the course of his career, Staley started all 181 games he played for the 49ers. Staley was born on August 30, 1984 in Rockford, Michigan and attended Rockford High School, where he competed in both track and football. He set a school record of 21.9 seconds in the 200-meter dash, the fastest mark ever recorded by someone who went on to play as an offensive lineman in the NFL.
