One of the most decorated players in Cleveland Browns history, Joe Thomas spent all 11 years of his career playing in Cleveland from 2007-2017. He was seven times named a first-team All-Pro and ten times named a Pro Bowler. One of the most durable NFL players ever, Thomas took his 10,000 straight snap on September 17, 2017, the first player in the history of the NFL to achieve the feat. He did not miss an offensive snap until the last year of his career later that season and, at the time of his retirement, Thomas had taken the most consecutive snaps (10,363) in NFL history since the league began keeping track in 1999.

Thomas was born on December 4, 1984 in Brookfield, Wisconsin and went to high school at Brookfield Central, where he earned numerous All-American and All-State honors while being considered among the top offensive line prospects in the United States. Thomas went on to play collegiately at the University of Wisconsin. During his last season in Madison, Thomas won the Outland Trophy as the best college interior lineman in the country and was named a consensus All-American. Thomas also excelled in track and field in the discus and shot put. In 2019, he was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame. Thomas was picked by the Browns in 2007 in the 1st round of the NFL Draft.
