Mark Recchi is a former NHL forward who played 22 seasons from 1988 – 2011 with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, Montreal Canadiens, Carolina Hurricanes, Atlanta Thrashers, Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins. A 2017 inductee into the Hockey Hall of Fame, Recchi won three Stanley Cup championships as a player – in 1991 with the Penguins, 2006 with Carolina and 2011 with the Bruins. He became the oldest player at age 43 to ever score a goal in a Stanley Cup Final when he did so in Game 2 in 2011. Recchi was also a part of the Penguins’ 2016 and 2017 Stanley Cup squads as a player development coach. After his playing career ended, Recchi worked as an assistant coach with the Penguins, New Jersey Devils and Columbus Blue Jackets.

Recchi played in 1,652 career games, scoring 577 goals with 956 assists for 1,533 points. He was named an All-Star seven times in 1991, 1993, 1994 and 1997-2000 and was named MVP of the 1997 game. Recchi’s first full NHL campaign came in 1990-1991 and he proved to be an integral part of the Penguins’ Stanley Cup team, scoring 40 goals with 73 assists. A few seasons later in 1992 – 1993, he enjoyed a career-year for the Flyers, scoring 53 goals and 70 assists. His 123 points that season set a Philadelphia single-season franchise record.
