The first American-born player to record three straight 50 goal seasons in the NHL (1995-98), John LeClair spent 16 years playing in the NHL for the Philadelphia Flyers, Montreal Canadiens and Pittsburgh Penguins. He won a Stanley Cup with the Canadiens in 1993. In 967 career games, LeClair recorded 406 goals and 413 assists for 819 points. He currently ranks 13th all-time on the NHL's points list among American-born players.

LeClair had arguably his best years as a member of the Flyers’ "Legion of Doom" line along with Eric Lindros and Mikael Renberg. In 10 seasons from 1994-2004, LeClair recorded 333 goals and 643 points, which ranks him seventh on the team’s all-time points and goals lists. LeClair broke the 40-goal mark over the course of five consecutive seasons from 1995-2000 and four times finished in the top 10 in league scoring.

A two-time Olympian in 1998 and 2002, LeClair ranked second on Team USA and third overall in points at the 2002 Winter Olympics, helping Team USA to a silver medal. LeClair was also a member of Team USA at the World Cup of Hockey in 1996, the U.S. National Junior Team in 1988 and IIHF World Junior Championships in 1989. In 31 games in a Team USA uniform, LeClair recorded 34 career points.
