Rob Gronkowski is a retired tight end who played for the New England Patriots from 2010 – 2018. He was a five-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time Super Bowl champion. Affectionately known as "Gronk", he was drafted by the Patriots in the 2nd round of the 2010 NFL draft and quickly became one of the most dominating tight ends in the NFL as one of quarterback Tom Brady's favorite targets. In 2011, Gronkowski set the single-season touchdown record by a tight end with 17 receiving td's (and 18 overall). Gronkowski was born on May 14, 1989 in Amherst, New York. He played collegiately at the University of Arizona, where he received first-team All Pac 10 honors in 2008.
