Steve DeOssie Booking Agent Details
Steve DeOssie played linebacker and long snapper in the National Football League from 1984-1995 with the Dallas Cowboys (1984-1988), New York Giants (1989-1993), New York Jets (1993) and New England Patriots (1994-1995). He was picked by the Cowboys out of Boston College in the 1984 NFL Draft in the 4th round and played both special teams and defense. In 1988, he finished third on the team with 20 special team tackles. In his second year after being traded to New York, DeOssie started 13 games in 1990 and contributed to the team’s Super Bowl XXV victory over the Buffalo Bills.
Born on November 22, 1962, DeOssie went to high school at Don Bosco Tech in Boston and stayed local to attend college at Boston College, where he was a two-time All-Eastern College Athletic Association selection in 1982 and 1983 and was also honored as a second-team All-American the latter year. He started at linebacker for four years and helped the Eagles to their first postseason bowl appearance that broke a 41-year drought. In 1997, he became a member of the school’s Varsity Club Athletic Hall of Fame. Since his playing days, DeOssie has been active in broadcasting on both radio and TV in the Boston area. He also opened a restaurant in Rhode Island with former NFL player Fred Smerlas called Fred & Steve’s Steakhouse.
