Todd Heap is a retired NFL tight end who played for 12 seasons from 2001-2012 with the Baltimore Ravens (2001-2010) and Arizona Cardinals (2011-2012). A member of the Ravens Ring of Honor, Heap was selected to back-to-back Pro Bowls in 2002 and 2003 while with the team.
In 2002, he started all 16 regular season games for Baltimore, hauling in 68 receptions for a total of 836 yards and six scores. The 2003 season saw Heap make 57 catches for a total of 693 yards and three touchdowns. He was named second-team All-Pro in 2003 for his efforts. Heap enjoyed a career year in 2005, posting 75 catches for 855 yards while scoring seven touchdowns, all career bests. He had a similarly effective season in 2006, catching 73 passes for 765 yards, scoring six touchdowns. For his efforts in 2006, he was named Tight End of the Year by NFL Alumni. He wrapped up his NFL playing days in 2012, recording in total for his career 499 catches for 5,869 yards and 42 touchdowns.
A standout on the gridiron at Arizona State University, Heap was selected as the final pick of the 1st round within the 2001 NFL Draft by the Ravens. His 115 receptions while in Tempe broke the ASU all-time record for catches by a tight end. After his playing days, Heap worked as a radio color commentator for Baltimore games.
