Trent Cole is a former NFL defensive end/outside linebacker who played for 12 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles (2005-2014) and Indianapolis Colts (2015-2016). A member of the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame, the two-time Pro Bowler made 617 tackles with 90.5 sacks and 21 forced fumbles in his career. Following his debut NFL season, Cole was named to the Pro Football Writers Association All-Rookie Team.
Cole became a starter on Philadelphia’s defense his second year in the NFL, posting 8.0 sacks in 2006. In 2007, he had a breakout campaign, recording 12.5 sacks and 70 tackles, earning his first trip to the Pro Bowl, making him the first drafted Philadelphia defensive end to earn that accolade since 1986. The following year, he set a career-high in tackles with 77 while posting 9.0 sacks. Cole’s performance peaked from 2009-2011, as he recorded a minimum of 10 sacks in each campaign, earning second-team All-Pro honors in 2009 as well as another Pro Bowl selection.
Cole enjoyed a standout collegiate career at the University of Cincinnati, where he earned back-to-back first-team All-Conference USA honors in 2003 and 2004. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Eagles. After retiring from football Cole, an avid outdoorsman, served as host of Blitz TV on Sportsman Channel.
