Troy Polamalu is a former NFL safety who spent his entire 12-year NFL career from 2003-2014 with the Pittsburgh Steelers after being selected by the team in the 1st round of the 2003 NFL Draft. Polamalu was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020, his first year of eligibility. He won two Super Bowls with the Steelers (XL and XLIII) and was named to eight Pro Bowls (2004-2008, 2010, 2011).
A member of the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team and Steelers All-Time Team, Polamalu during his career posted 770 tackles with 12 quarterback sacks along with 32 interceptions. He also scored three touchdowns. In 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2011, Polamalu was named first-team All-Pro while two times, in 2004 and 2007, he was named second-team All-Pro. In 2010, he had 63 tackles and 7 interceptions in route to receiving the honor of NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
Polamalu played college football at USC, where he was a two-time first-team All-Pac 10 selection in 2001 and 2002 while also earning consensus All-American honors as a senior in 2002. He became a member of the College Football Hall of Fame in 2019. Off the football field, Polamalu has served as longtime pitchman for the Head & Shoulders shampoo brand and has been involved with a number of business ventures, including Arenda Capital, which helps families manage their finances.
