Chauncey Billups played in the NBA from 1997-2014 for the Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers. Billups won an NBA title with the Pistons in 2004 and was named the Finals MVP after averaging per game in the series 21 points and 5.2 assists. He was also a five-time All-Star, a 2006 All-NBA Second Team pick and three-time All-NBA Third Team pick. Additionally, Billups was honored with the 2008 J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award, 2009 NBA Sportsmanship Award and 2013 Twyman - Stokes Teammate of the Year Award. His jersey #1 was retired by Detroit in 2016.

Billups was the third overall pick out of the University of Colorado by the Celtics in the 1997 NBA Draft. While at Colorado, Billups was a 1997 consensus second-team All-American and first-team All-Big 12. The Buffs retired his jersey #4 in 2004. Billups grew up in Denver, Colorado and went to George Washington High School. Three times he was named Mr. Basketball and is generally considered to be the best basketball player to ever come out of the state of Colorado. Upon retiring from playing, Billups worked as a NBA analyst for ESPN.
