Davis Love III Booking Agent Details
Davis Love III is a professional golfer who won a total of 21 times on the PGA Tour, including the PGA Championship in 1997. In international competition, Love participated in six Ryder Cups as a player, winning four (1993, 1995, 1997, 1999), and also served as a captain twice, in 2012 and 2016. He won the Payne Stewart Award in 2008 for his sportsmanship and character and Bob Jones Award in 2013 for his sportsmanship. In 2017, he became a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Love claimed his first win in 1987 at the MCI Heritage Golf Classic. In 1992, he won The Players Championship and did so again in 2003. From 1992-2005, Love spent 465 weeks ranked in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking list, climbing as high as No. 2 during the summer of 1998. Love’s most successful season from a wins standpoint came in 2003 when he won four tournaments, including The Players Championship, AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, MCI Heritage and The International. He finished that year ranked third on the PGA money winner list.
Love was born on April 13, 1964 in Charlotte, North Carolina and attended college at the University of North Carolina, where he was three times named All-ACC and an All-American. Off the course, Love started Love Golf Design in 1994 and has built such courses as Anderson Creek Club, Ocean Creek and Dunes at Diamante. In 2020, Love moved to the broadcast booth, joining CBS as a golf analyst.
