Jim Zorn Booking Agent Details
Jim Zorn is a retired quarterback who is best remembered for the 8 seasons he spent with the Seattle Seahawks from 1976 – 1984. He also played for the Green Bay Packers (1985), CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers (1986) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1987). During his first year with the Seahawks in 1976, Zorn was named the Offensive Rookie of the Year in the AFC and the team’s most valuable player after recording 15 touchdowns, 12 through the air and 3 on the ground. He became the first quarterback in Seahawks history to throw for 3,000 yards in three straight years and was named second-team All-Pro in 1978. Zorn was the second player behind Steve Largent to be inducted into the Seahawks Ring of Honor when he received the accolade in 1991. He’s also a member of the Washington (state) Sports Hall of Fame.
Zorn was born on May 10, 1953, in Whittier, California, and played college football at Cerritos College and Cal Poly Pomona. During his junior year at Cal Poly, Zorn threw for 2,367 yards and 16 td’s and was named the SoCal College Division Player of the Year. Zorn went undrafted in 1975 and signed as a free agent with the Dallas Cowboys. He was cut just prior to the start of the season and signed with Seattle the next year.
After his playing career ended, Zorn went into coaching and served as an assistant at Boise State, Utah State, University of Minnesota, Detroit Lions and Seahawks before being named head coach of the Washington Redskins in 2008, where he spent two seasons. In 2019, Zorn was named head coach and general manager of the XFL’s Seattle Dragons.
