Terry O’Reilly is a former NHL right winger and coach who spent his entire hockey career from 1971-1985 with the Boston Bruins. O’Reilly combined scoring ability with a constant physical presence in route to becoming a fan favorite. In his 13-year career, O’Reilly had 204 goals, 402 assists and 606 total points. From 1983-1985, the two seasons leading up to his retirement, O’Reilly captained the Bruins.

As one of the premier enforcers in the NHL during the 1970s and early 1980s, O’Reilly racked up 2,095 career penalty minutes in 891 games played. He is one of 56 NHL players to accrue more than 2,000 career penalty minutes. On the offensive front, from 1972-1976 he increased his total goals for Boston in consecutive seasons. By the time the 1977-1978 season had ended, O’Reilly posted career-highs in goals (29) and assists (61), good for 90 points, also a career-best. The next season, O’Reilly had 26 goals and 51 assists.

From 1986-1989, O’Reilly served as head coach of the Bruins, leading the team to the 1988 Stanley Cup Finals, where Boston was defeated by Wayne Gretzky and the Edmonton Oilers. In 2002, the Bruins retired his jersey #24 while in 1990, the Ontario native was inducted into the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame.
