David Diehl is a retired NFL offensive lineman who played his entire career from 2003-2013 with the New York Giants. Diehl was the starting left guard on two championship teams; he played in Super Bowl XLII as the NFC wild card Giants took down the heavily-favored New England Patriots, 17-14. In a rematch almost four years later in Super Bowl XLVI, Diehl and the Giants again defeated New England in another tight game, 21-17. Diehl was a Pro Bowler in 2009 and earned second-team All-Pro honors for the 2008 season.

While playing collegiately for the University of Illinois, Diehl was named second-team All-Big Ten as a senior in 2002 and was chosen by New York in the 5th round of the 2003 NFL Draft. In 2003, he became the first Giants rookie to start all 16 games since the 1985 season and was the only rookie in the league that year to start all 16 games at the same position. During his career, Diehl moved around from left to right guard as needed and retired after the 2013 season. Since his playing days, he’s worked as an analyst and color commentator for NFL and college football games with Fox Sports and CBS Sports Network.
