David Tyree played wide receiver in the NFL for six seasons for the New York Giants (2003-2007) and Baltimore Ravens (2009). The 2005 Pro Bowler and First-Team All-Pro is best remembered for making one of the most memorable catches in Super Bowl history, which saw him haul-in an incredible third-down pass thrown by Eli Manning with 1:15 remaining in the game. That catch gave the Giants a first down and ultimately resulted in them scoring the go-ahead touchdown and beating the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII, 17-14. In 2008 the play was named “Play of the Year” at the ESPY’s.

Born on January 3, 1980 in Livingston, New Jersey, Tyree played college football at Syracuse, where he finished his career ranked 13th all-time in Orangeman history with 1,214 yards receiving. He was picked by the Giants in the 2003 NFL Draft (6th round) and was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team. After Tyree retired from playing, he was hired by the Giants in 2014 as the Director of Player Development. In 2020, Tyree opened a location of the juice bar franchise Clean Juice in Morristown, New Jersey. He has also authored the book “More Than Just The Catch: A True Story Of Courage, Hope, And Achieving The Impossible”.
