David Eckstein Booking Agent Details
David Eckstein played infield for 10 seasons for the Los Angeles Angels (2001-2004), St. Louis Cardinals (2005-2007), Toronto Blue Jays (2008), Arizona Diamondbacks (2008) and San Diego Padres (2009-2010). Eckstein was originally selected by Boston in the 19th round of the 1997 draft and was picked-up by the Angels off waivers in 2000. He was a two-time All-Star with St. Louis in 2005 & 2006 and won the MLBA’s inaugural Heart & Hustle Award in 2005.
Eckstein was a two-time World Series champion, winning a title with the Angels in 2002 and Cardinals in 2006. During the 2006 Fall Classic with the Cardinals, Eckstein was named the MVP after going 8-22, recording four RBI and scoring three runs in the last three games. In Game 4, Eckstein recorded four hits with three doubles in helping St. Louis claim its 10th World Series title.
Eckstein grew up in Sanford, Florida and attended Seminole High School, where he was twice named all-state. He walked-on the baseball team at the University of Florida before eventually being put on scholarship. During his time in Gainesville, Eckstein was twice named first-team All-SEC and earned first-team All-American honors in 1996. He became a member of the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007.
