David Pollack worked as a college football analyst for ESPN and as a co-host of ESPN’s College GameDay, working alongside Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Lee Corso in highlighting each weekend’s slate of top college football games. He has also appeared on other network telecasts, including Palmer & Pollack, College Football Live and Thursday Night College Football. Pollack begin his broadcast career in 2008 by hosting a radio sports talk show on 790 The Zone in Atlanta and working in-studio for CBS. Prior to his broadcast career, Pollack played linebacker at the University of Georgia from 2001 - 2004 and in the NFL for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2005-2007. He became a member of the College Football Hall of Fame in 2020.
Collegiately, Pollack enjoyed a celebrated career at the University of Georgia. He was named a first-team All-American in three straight seasons – just the second player in Georgia history along with the great Herschel Walker to be so honored three times – along with first-team All-SEC honors in every one of those seasons as well. Twice, in 2002 and 2004, Pollack was named the SEC Player of the Year. For his senior campaign in 2004, Pollack won the Chuck Bednarik Award as the best defensive player in college football. That year, he also captured the Lott IMPACT Trophy as well as the Lombardi Award. In 2003 and 2004, he won back-to-back Ted Hendricks Awards and finished his career at Georgia with 36 sacks, a Bulldogs program record. Away from the gridiron, Pollack founded the company FanBan, which produces sports banners with logos of college teams along with sports photos. Pollack was born on June 19, 2982 in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
