Jason McCourty is a former NFL cornerback who played from 2009-2021 with the Tennessee Titans (2009-2016), Cleveland Browns (2017), New England Patriots (2018-2020) and Miami Dolphins (2021). In 2011, McCourty became a regular starter for the Titans and quickly set career-bests in total tackles (103) and solo tackles (83). The next season, he recorded four interceptions, a personal best, while starting all 16 games for Tennessee and making 92 tackles. McCourty went on to play in every game for the Titans over the next two seasons.
In 2018, McCourty joined his twin brother Devin McCourty and the New England Patriots for what would be the first of three seasons with the team. That year, he helped guide the Patriots to an appearance in Super Bowl LIII, which they won, defeating the Los Angeles Rams. In 2020, the McCourty brothers were named New England team captains. In 2021, his final NFL season, McCourty transitioned from cornerback to safety after signing with Miami.
McCourty played college football at Rutgers and was a sixth-round selection by Tennessee in the 2009 NFL Draft. In his 13-year career, he made 744 tackles and recorded 18 interceptions. Following his playing days, McCourty began a second- career in broadcasting when he was hired by the NFL Network in 2022. Additionally, he has provided commentary during Thursday Night Football.
