Kellen Winslow is a retired NFL tight end who played his entire career from 1979-1987 with the San Diego Chargers. A 1995 inductee into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Winslow is considered one of the greatest tight ends in the history of the NFL and was a five-time Pro Bowl selection (1980-1983, 1987). From 1980-1982, he was also named first-team All-Pro and earned second-team All-Pro accolades for his final season in 1987. Additionally, he led the NFL in receptions in back-to-back years in 1981-1982. Winslow is a member of the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team, the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team and the Chargers Hall of Fame.

On Jan. 2, 1982, in an AFC divisional playoff game vs. Miami, Winslow played through a pinched nerve in his shoulder and stitches in his lower lip, catching 13 passes for a total of 166 yards and one touchdown along with a blocked field goal. His gutsy performance led the Chargers to a 41-38 victory in what was dubbed “The Epic in Miami.” A consensus All-American in 1978, Winslow played college football at Missouri and was a 1st round pick by the Chargers in the 1979 NFL Draft. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2002. Since his playing days, Winslow has worked in college athletics administration at Florida A&M University, Lakeland College and Central State University.
