Rickey Jackson is a retired linebacker who played in the NFL from 1981-1995 for the New Orleans Saints (1981-1993) and San Francisco 49ers (1994-1995). Jackson was drafted by the Saints in the 2nd round of the 1981 NFL Draft. He won a Super Bowl with the 49ers and, while playing for the Saints, was the leader of the vaunted Dome Patrol that also included linebackers Pat Swilling, Vaughan Johnson and Sam Mills. Jackson was a six-time Pro Bowl selection, four-time first-team All-Pro and two-time second-team All-Pro.

Jackson only missed two games during his 13 years with the Saints and is member of the Saints Hall of Fame and Ring of Honor. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010, the first inductee who went into the Hall for his play mostly for the Saints. For his career, Jackson recorded 1,173 tackles with 40 forced fumbles and 128 sacks. Jackson grew up in Pahokee, Florida and attended Pahokee High School. He played collegiately at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was named second-team All-Big East and honorable mention All-American as a junior and first-team All-Big East and second-team All-American as a senior. He was named MVP of the East-West Shrine Game.
