Steve Hutchinson is a former NFL offensive guard who played from 2001-2012 with the Seattle Seahawks (2001-2005), Minnesota Vikings (2006-2011) and Tennessee Titans (2012). A 1st round pick by the Seahawks in the 2001 NFL Draft, Hutchinson started a total of 169 NFL games in his career. In 2020, he was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame along with Edgerrin James, Troy Polamalu, Steve Atwater and Isaac Bruce. He is also a member of the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team. During his career, Hutchinson earned five first-team All-Pro selections in 2003, 2005, 2007-2009 and, in seven consecutive seasons from 2003-2009, he was named to the Pro Bowl. Similarly, in 2004 and 2006, he earned second-team All-Pro honors.
A standout at the University of Michigan, Hutchinson was the Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2000 and voted a unanimous All-American. Hutchinson was a two-year captain for Michigan and started all four years for the Wolverines from 1997-2000, during which time he earned four straight All-Big Ten selections. In 1997 as a freshman with the Wolverines, he won a national championship. Hutchinson was born on November 1, 1977 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and attended Coral Springs High School. He was named to the Florida High School Athletic Association’s All-Century Team in 2007, which recognized the best 33 players from the high school ranks in the 100 years of football in the state.
