Demario Davis has played for the New Orleans Saints since 2018. In his second year in New Orleans, Davis earned first-team All-Pro honors, starting all 16 games for the Saints at the linebacker position and recording 111 total tackles with four sacks. In 2020, he was named second-team All-Pro behind a 119-tackle, four-sack campaign. Following the end of the 2020 NFL season, his on-field success was matched by his winning the Bart Starr Award, honoring his character and work in the community. Known for his durability, between 2013 and 2020, during which time he was a member of three different NFL teams, Davis did not miss a single game, failing to make a start in just one game in eight years. In both the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons, David tied his career-best mark with 6.5 sacks in route to being named to the Pro Bowl each season. He was named the Pro Bowl Defensive MVP in the latter game.
Davis was selected in the third round of the 2012 Draft by the New York Jets, with whom he played through the 2016 season. In 2013 and 2014, his second and third years in the NFL, he posted back-to-back 100-plus tackle seasons for the Jets. Davis joined the Cleveland Browns in 2016 before returning to the Jets for the 2017 season where he set a career-high in tackles with 135. In 2018, he signed with the Saints. Davis played college football at Arkansas State and, as a senior in 2011, he won first-team All-Sun Belt honors. A devout Christian, Davis and his wife Tamela started in 2013 the Devoted Dreamers Foundation, whose mission is to provide the next generation of leaders with tools to succeed mentally, spiritually and physically. He was nominated both in 2020 and 2022 by the Saints for the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.
