Gabriel Landeskog played an integral role during the 2021-2022 season in helping the Colorado Avalanche capture the franchise’s first Stanley Cup title since 2001. He was chosen as the 2nd overall pick during the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Avs. A bit over a year later at age 19, Landeskog was named the captain ahead of the 2012 season.

Following the 2011-2012 NHL season, Landeskog’s first, he was awarded the Calder Memorial Trophy as the league’s rookie of the year. He was similarly named to the All-Rookie Team behind a 22-goal, 30-assist campaign. From 2013-2022, Landeskog contributed at least 20 goals for the Avs in eight of nine seasons. The 2018-2019 season saw him set career-bests in goals (34), assists (41) and points (75), with Landeskog earning a place on the All-Star Game roster.

For the 2021-2022 season, Landeskog scored 30 goals and added 29 assists. During the playoffs, he was a key ingredient for Colorado, scoring 11 goals with 11 assists in 22 games in route to winning the Stanley Cup. Internationally, Landeskog regularly represents his home country of Sweden, winning a gold medal in 2013 and 2017 at the World Championships. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Landeskog helped Sweden to a silver medal.
