Shane Doan is a former NHL winger who played his entire career from 1995-2017 with the Winnipeg Jets/Arizona Coyotes. A two-time All-Star (2004, 2009), Doan is the Coyotes’ franchise leader in a multitude of statistical categories, including career points (972), goals (402), games played (1,540) and power-play goals (125). From 2003-2017, he served as Arizona’s captain and led the Coyotes in points for every season between 2003 and 2011. In 2007-2008, he set a career-high in points (78) and assists (50), while the following season, he scored a career-best 31 goals. Arizona retired Doan’s No. 19 sweater in 2019.

During his playing career, Doan was awarded with the 2010 King Clancy Memorial Trophy, recognizing the NHL player who shows exemplary leadership qualities both on and off the ice and who has contributed significantly to his community. Similarly, he won the Mark Messier Leadership Award in 2012. Internationally, Doan represented Canada at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. He won gold medals with Canada at the 2003 and 2007 World Championships. Doan joined the Coyotes front office in 2021, serving as chief hockey development officer.
